Although it is just a small town, hidden in its streets lie a great number of monuments and places of interest thanks to a Roman and Arab presence. This past gives off a special essence of rich history to each of its city corners. There are two Alcázares (Alcázar of the King Don Pedro and Alcázar of the Door of Seville). Here are some places in the city that you can not miss: the Door of Córdoba, Church of San Pedro, the Convent of the Trinity and the multicolored plazas. Many describe Carmona as the prelude of Seville with Giraldilla included. Without a doubt, one of the most monumental towns in Andalusia.
Priego de Córdoba (Córdoba)
Epitomized as the cradle of the baroque style, this “city of water” represents the style of the Andalusian neighborhoods. Streets are narrow and cobbled. The white facades contrast with the colors of the flowers on the balconies … A walk through its Barrio de la Villa is a pleasure for all the senses. You have to walk through the city without rushing, enjoying the smells, its architecture … And, of course, you can’t say you went here without seeing the Fountain of the King with a structure that includes one hundred and thirty-nine water pipes.

Of pure Berber character, a walk through its streets portrays a return to the past where dozens of craft shops showcase their products of textile stars and cloths flooded with colors draped over the white facades. Its beauty has been awarded several times: it was declared a Historic Artistic Grouping site, considered among the 44 most beautiful towns in Spain and won twice the National Prize of Tourism.
