Salsa Brava

Who doesn’t like good potatoes with brava (a spicy tomato sauce)? But salsa is not always as “brava” or ” spicy” as we would like…. So here we leave you with a recipe for rich and easy to make salsa brava.


  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 cayenne peppers
  • 1 tablespoon of sweet paprika
  • 1 glass of crushed tomato
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Vinegar
  • Food coloring

Shall we begin?

In a frying pan with a teaspoon of oil, add the chopped onion and cook until it becomes transparent, then we add the cayenne (adding more or less depending on how hot you like it). Remove the skillet from the fire and add the paprika, mixing well with the onion, then add in the tomato and sugar. Put it back on medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring well.

Dissolve the flour in a glass of cold water and incorporate it into the salsa, then add the dye and let it cook for 15 minutes. Add a teaspoon of vinegar once it is finished cooking, and stir. When the salsa is warm, mix it well and then eat it!
