Delicious snacks for Christmas meals

Christmas Eve is coming, and it is time to think what to cook for your guests. To help you in this complicated task we suggest you seven delicious snacks to impress them. These small bites are very easy to cook and will not take you long time, so you do not have to spend hours in the kitchen worrying about the arriving time. Shall we start?

Blinis with jelly and foie

The ingredients used in it (blinis, blueberry jelly, foie and a bit of jam) can be bought already made or you can make them yourself at home. Blinis are small pancakes that you can buy packed in any supermarket. In order to make this recipe delicious you need to use a good quality foie that combined with the jam will be pleasing in your palate. Nevertheless you do not have to add all the layers, if you remove the jelly the blini is still a delightful snack.

Stuffed peppers with capers and anchovies

To make it you have to bake the peppers first. Once they are roasted, cut them into wide slices and include an anchovy, capers and some parsley. Then, roll it up and, so that it is easy to pick up and you do not get your hands dirty, nail a small stick to it. For the best result use peppers with designation of origin.

Sobrassada and quail egg toasts

Simple, quick, and liked by both children and adults. In this case, the best option is to choose sobrassada from Mallorca and some rustic bread. Another alternative that will amaze you? Sobrassada, with goat cheese and caramelized onion; put it in the oven and serve it warm. The egg can also be included. God’s delicacy.

Mini pizzas with mushrooms

On this occasion we wanted to stuff the mushrooms with ham and cheese. But there are many options, such as finely chopped seafood; minced meat and cheese; a fried onion and vegetable… The only limit is your imagination. However, if you want to be able to eat them with your hands, the mushrooms must be rather small. The protagonist here will be the cheese, and we will use a Manchego one although we have many others that will also go perfectly. (Discover them here)

Courgette with cheese and Serrano ham

Start by making the courgette. Once you have cut them into thin slices, grill them (if you have a potato cutter it will be very useful to do this effortlessly). When they are done, fill them with cheese and some of our hams with designation of origin: Dehesa de Extremadura, Guijuelo, de Huelva, de Teruel, de Trevélez or los Pedroches. If you want the cheese to be melted, include the cheese when the courgette is still in the pan. Afterwards, add the ham. If the ham is not of high quality, another option is to bake it once you have made the rolls. It is not advisable with a good ham as it will dry out and lose some of its essence.

Endives with Cabrales cheese

Endive is another perfect option whenever you want to do some tapas without getting too dirty. This time, we have made the filling with cabrales cheese, grapes and nuts. There are many other alternatives, such as making a salad filling with La Cañada tuna and tomatoes or crab with salmon. How do you prefer it?

Meat roll with asparagus

First make the asparagus, better if they are from Huétor-Tájar, and then the meat. The meat can be the one you prefer, but in this case it is thin sliced beef steaks. To top it off, you can make a Pedro Ximenez sauce or include cheese or any other food you can think of in the roll.
