Alto Campoo, also known as Brañavieja, is a winter resort that is the only one of its class in all of Cantabria. With more than 50 years of business, the station welcomes more than 70,000 skiers every year, among which many are Basque and Leonese, as well as Cantabrian, due to its location at the border between several provinces. The complex is divided into 23 slopes that constitute the 30 skiable kilometers, with altitudes ranging from 1,650m at its lowest building to 2,125m at the Tres Mares peak. Alto Campoo also has ski schools, playgrounds, a snow park, a cross-country ski area and various competitions.
